November was Diabetes Awareness Month, and in the DOC we were busy spreading awareness and working hard to advocate. However, these efforts are not only seen during November! We are advocating all year long, and we learn things as we go. With that in mind, we wanted to know one grassroots / advocacy thing you plan to do differently this year, and how you’ll do it. Here are some of your plans . . . .
- Stephen revisited an earlier post about things he’d do in November to raise awareness and gives us an update on how it went.
- Emma didn’t quite get all of her advocacy plans accomplished this year, but there’s always next year!
- Mike is planning to add some off-line advocating as well, where he can offer in-person support.
As always, you can click over to the blog carnival page for the link to the full list of posts submitted. Didn’t quite get a chance to submit your post this month? Go ahead and write it anyway and leave your link in the November Blog Carnival comments section so we can check it out!
And don’t forget to check back here on Thursday when we’ll announce the topic for the December DSMA Blog Carnival!
