"Mari Arms!" - She's famous for this pose

Mari arms! She’s famous for this pose!

I have no other way to describe Mari other than a bundle of wild, enthusiastic, positive, and powerful energy.  She is just incredible to listen to, to be with, and to watch.  Empowerment and encouragement are at the heart of what she is, and she couldn’t contain it even if she wanted to.

Mari has lived with type 1 diabetes for over 30 years, and has survived cancer.  Twice.

Today she is the founder and director of TeamWILD (We Inspire Life with Diabetes), a group of coaches and trainers that specialize in getting people with diabetes moving, and she is also the founder of the Red Rider recognition program of the ADA Tour de Cure.

With all of that activity based “stuff” under her belt, would you believe she didn’t start exercising until she was 30?  Amazing, right?

It was an energy-packed hour of great conversation.  I hope you’ll listen.
