After Thoughts: Carli Visser

On December 14, 2012 by Scott K. Johnson

After only a few pages of her book I couldn’t put it down.  It’s about 185 pages long and I finished the whole thing in about a day.  I connected with the book so well because Carli wrote from an emotional place.  And she did such a good job with it.

Enjoying her book so much, it was a real pleasure to chat with her on the show.  We talked about her growing up with diabetes and many of the experiences she shared in her book.  It was a real treat to relive much of what I’ve read (though the book has many more experiences as well – don’t think you can just listen to the show and not buy the book…).

We got to hear about Carli’s next project (The Diagnosed), and that it was inspired by a blog post from Courtney McGuffin (who’s blog is “Candy on the Treadmill“).  That thrilled me to no end because I’m a rabid fan of blogging, and love that it is inspiring people to do great things.

We hope you’ll share some of your time with us and listen to the show (and buy her book).
