Crystal Lane

It’s not every show that we make our guest cry, I promise.  But I can totally understand why the tears were rolling, and would be lying if I said I didn’t get a little misty myself.

Crystal is now working at the Diabetes Research and Wellness Foundation.  Before securing a job that offered health insurance, she spent a lot of time living without that insurance.  She had to pay out of pocket for all of her medication and supplies, and had to sacrifice a lot of health care simply because she couldn’t afford it.

She talked about receiving a lot of help from those in the diabetes community, and that just being a shoulder to lean on or someone to talk to was such a huge help for her during hard times.  It was a very emotional show, and I’m so glad Crystal came on to tell her story.
